Bill Michaelson has provided accounting services for over 30 years throughout the country and internationally. He is a graduate of the University of Miami and a Certified Public Accountant in Florida and Tennessee. In addition to extensive experience in accounting and auditing with the Big Six firm Deloitte Touche & Co. and a large regional firm, Bill has successfully developed expertise in litigation support, forensic accounting and fraud detection, including serving as an expert witness in court proceedings. He holds the distinction of Certified Fraud Examiner and Diplomate, American Board of Forensic Accounting, American College of Forensic Examiners.
Frequently a speaker on fraud detection and forensic accounting, he has shared his expertise with the American and Florida Institutes of CPAs, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, U.S. Navy‘s Judge Advocate General Core, State of Florida Division of Insurance Fraud, Florida Advisory Committee on Arson Prevention, Institute of Internal Auditors, and several local bar associations.
Bill has also written articles for professional journals such as The Journal of Accountancy, The Practical Accountant, The Florida CPA Today and The CPA Litigation Services Counselor. A few of his professional affiliations include the American Institute of CPAs, Florida Institute of CPAs, Institute of Business Appraisers, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, American Society of Industrial Security, American College of Forensic Examiners, Florida Advisory Committee on Arson Prevention and the Academy of Experts, an international professional society and qualifying body for experienced expert witnesses.
